****VISIT REPORT IS ABOUT 30 POSTS DOWN****

OK, I dare anyone to say this belongs in Stove-Huggers because it's not Studebaker-related!
Our famous Ted Harbit didn't want it known until after procedures had been completed, but he was diagnosed with prostate cancer a couple months ago. He spent some time at the famous Mayo Clinic last fall, following inconclusive medical opinions in central Indiana when routine tests revealed things amiss, although he had little discomfort.
This morning (Friday, January 30) he had prostate cancer surgery at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis' northwest corner.
Mary Ann called about noon to report his being on his way to recovery and having spoken to the surgeon, who reported everything having gone A-OK; that a full recovery was expected. Mary Ann had not yet seen Ted but was certain, from the report, that he was just fine.
Ted will remain at St. Vincent until Sunday, February 1, at which time he is expected to be able to go home. Cari and I plan to go visit him at the hospital tomorrow (Saturday, January 31). When we return from that visit, I'll post an update.
'No sense sending any greetings via St. Vincent Hospital; he would be home before they arrived. However, if anyone wants to send a card to his home, I'm sure it would be appreciated.
