Anyone recognize this old drag car? 53 Starliner

One of three 53s that I bought at auction. This one has windshield trim that I need and also better front fenders. Crazy rear wheel wells, hanging clutch/brake pedals, big shifter hole in the floor. I bet it has some interesting history somewhere.

Was this featured on Junkyard Gold? Steve Magnette featured a junk yard with a lot of Stude's and he had a former 53 drag car on the show.

The one that Steve examined had a solid front axle, IIRC but it's hard to see from the picture if this one does. It also had a hood with a second blister added for clearance.

This does not have a straight axle. The hood had a small scoop, but that hood is on a different 53 that I also bought.

Cool, I forgot about that one on Junkyard Gold. I had them use a picture of my 58 Courier on Episode 3 for comparison to one in a junkyard. My 5 seconds of fame. But, I did get my name in the credits.
