It looks more like a corrosion issue to me. Was there a bunch of junk in the engine comparment? A burn mark on the hood could have been a small carb fire, but with an open float bowl the fire would likely have been intense enough to do far more damage than what can be seen in the pic.Comment

The Plugs are out to find out WHY it won't run!
But seriously that former Rats Nest would have contributed considerably to all that serious Corrosion.

Plugs are out to see if I can salvage the engine at all…. Sat for a week with Marvel Mystery Oil down the holes, and the engine is turning freely.
The only real damage the mice did was eating through all six plug wires. 😂Comment
