shenandoahcommander , welcome to the Forum! I'm sure some of our members will chime in with suggestions shortly.

To help you out, I've moved your post to the appropriate channel and given it a more descriptive title. The more descriptive your title, the more likely you'll get the help you need.

Welcome to the SDC and to the SDC Forum Bob!

I am from South Redondo Beach Ave "A", myself, but have not lived there in too long to know who the current dependable Shops that know Studebaker's are except what I hear from afar so not current personal experiences that I can be sure are GOOD ones.

You could try this one, it is located in the same building that used to be "Studebaker of California" the Worlds largest distributor of New Studebaker Parts in the 1990's. They moved to Indiana.

The Repair Shop (not affiliated), was "Studebaker Parts and Service", now moved from 1440 14th. St. and under new ownership since the founder and former owner Bill Oliver has retired.

Enter on W. 14th St at Santa Fe Ave.
        Long Beach

The Old Phone Number 562-435-3782 is disconnected now, so just Old info in on line Searches, so no luck at that Number.
You would have to go there, when I last talked to that New owner he had enlarged the Shop and was very busy, so check it out.

UPDATE: OK, I found the Latest Info on this Shop in Long Beach near you.
The New Name is: "Studebaker Restoration LTD". 1408 Santa Fe Ave. Long Beach, CA 90813
        562 676 4460, Website :
