    Since no one has commented, i will venture a guess. They were expensively produced coachwork; I suspect woven, and then resin applied.

    Slightly off topic, but how did they accomplish that “woven” look on the sides of some European ‘20s/‘30’s cars? Hispano Suz…(sp)? and one of Lowey’s ‘40’s customs come to mind. Or were they actually woven? Thanks

    This ad has shown up several places over the years. My question is: Is there a surviving example? I suppose with the overlays now available someone could revive the look. I am just curious if there is an original still out there.
