Love this story and pics ! Is there any posts telling what all your engine is ? That red striped Mustang looks identical to the one we had and sold before moving here to Hawaii. Again, great stuff, gives me hope seeing that 13 seconds time, lol.

Here is a link to the entire Skeeter Hawk thread . It will start you at the beginning from 2011 . There's 16 pages of the progression of the car , and many many pics and videos . Quite an ongoing evolution . The engine is detailed along the line . It is not far from stock . The car is very light , and weighs 2805 with me on board . That is 65 lbs. lighter than the earlier weight , as I've worked hard to lighten it further . I am skinny , so it isn't my weight loss .

          Bill,
That is cool stuff you are doing.
I too am trying something different carburetor wise on my 308 CID Jack V custom motor.
I had Jeff custom build a Chryco LA intake to spread-bore configuration for a Holley 650 CFM double pumper spread-bore. It is still on the engine stand so I'll give updates once it is running.
          Cheers,
          Bill

shifter4, thanks for the link ! Keep us posted on your progress please. ( I sure wish my coupe just weighed what yours does, but could still be a "street car", ha ! ....congrats ! )

Shifter4, I got your message, but can't figure out how to answer it on "messages". No, mine's not a race car, but I do like to fool with them to make them perform better. Our Island (the Big Island) does have a dragstrip, but it's over in Hilo, about 95 miles from me, and that's the wet side too. I have been there 3 times, never saw a race because of rain, so I quit trying, ha ! Keep up the good work, and thanks again for the good info ! I am going to switch carbs again to try something else, and am trying to find or fabricate a floor shifter for the GM 200 auto I have in it. jb

Thanks StudeRich, but I sure didn't see a reply button, and tried to find anything to open. Guess it was just my turn to be a dip, lol. Thanks again, jb

Just curious, what front clip is on your car?
                    Thanks,

The Tilt Front end is from Suncoast in Florida many years ago . It is a very thin flimsy one for racing only , and I fastened the center hood part on permanently , way back then . Over the years , I have added various aluminum braces and other mods to it Click image for larger version

The front frame clip is from A.R.T. in Florida . They are a racing equipment supplier, and sell components for NHRA etc racing .
It is not a Stude specific thing . You specify your dimensions to them . I wanted an A-arm suspension , rather than Strut .
I paid them to do the basic welding of the brackets on their jig set up , and we assembled the suspension , brakes , steering etc after that .
It is attached to the Stude frame approx 11" behind the firewall , and actually is shoved into the Stude frame for about 8" or so. Then welded to the frame via kick outs that also attach the front roll cage to the frame , and also is gusseted .
