  • Thermocure cooling system rust remover - any one have experience with using this product?

Thermocure is made by the company that makes Evaporust. I have used Evaporust and had good experience with it but I'm always a little reluctant to put something in my cooling system without have some idea about the quality of the product.
Any experience with it and the results would be appreciated.

MSDS says it's a solution of diammoniumphosphate and other salts with a pH of 6-7. Weakly acidic solution shouldn't hurt anything in the system. If it's only rust in the system it's probably worth a try. Less corrosive than even Vinegar or Coca Cola.

If it does work, I'd get good antifreeze into the system to keep the rust from reforming.

I used it on my 64 Cruiser. Worked very well. No problems since with overheating.
