  • 56 Parkview Help and ???

My wagon was hit right in the wrong place. THANKS to Mr. Biggs I found the inside piece that welds on the post and the tail light backing plate. My big problem is the housing where the gas filler pipe is at. It is bent in about a 1/2 inch and there is no really good way to straighten it. My wife wants me cover the ugly door up and put a Lark tank under it. Any ideas on the filler housing. I'm at a stand still right now. The fender was mashed flat I have pulled it out and stretched the metal. I can shrink the metal and draw it back that no problem it's the housing. You can't take it out like my 51.

I don't get it. Your wife thinks that the gas cap hanging out the side of the car is more attractive? Hmmm...

The good news is that a Lark tank will work perfectly. All you have to do is re-drill a hole on the left side. I have one in Bess, stolen from my '63 wagon. Also, your fuel take off is from the bottom, instead of top and the fuel sender doesn't seem to be entirely compatible. Other than that... it slides right in.
