I found some pistons locally and the box states they are 3" standard for '39-'58 Champion passenger cars and trucks. They look brand new to me .Looking up the company in the subject line gives a glimpse of their success way back before I was born. Has anyone an idea of the part's quality? I only need one but I have to buy several to get one and I ONLY need standard size and don't want to bore over if I don't need to.

You would have to assume that anything like this, that was made 60 Years ago, is a Quality, Made in USA Part that I would not hesitate to use.

This is exactly why I just sent the person an offer. The deal was too good to pass up in my opinion.

For what it's worth, I have a full set, int. ext., of Elgin valves for my V8 heads. They are Chevrolet size but they are from Elgin. The reason for these I wont go into (long explanation),

but hey are quite adequate for my purposes.
