Just got back from looking at a restored '50 Champion Starlight. Gorgeous car. Restored by a non-Stude person, so you could pick it apart in judging, but... this thing is NICE. The "errors" are minor things - some plastic wiring, wrong upholstery fabric, incorrect wiper control knob, etc.. Little, easily correctable things.[^]
Restored maybe 15-16 years ago - driven probably not a thousand miles after that. For Sure, not driven since '99 Non-stock upholstery on the seats and door panels, but done right by a great upholsterer.
Engine compt gleaming, underside all but spotless. Five new radial WW tires and very nice blue paint job.
Wanting nothing but a new battery and someone to love it. Ol' gal selling it would take $8K for it. There's no question it's worth what she wants for it. Will she GET IT in these tight times? Who knows. I can tell you she's NOT hurtin' for the funds tho. I would trade our humble home for her "guest house" in a heartbeat!
1957 Transtar 1/2ton
1963 Cruiser
1960 Larkvertible V8
1958 Provincial wagon
1953 Commander coupe
1957 President two door

I'd consider shipping but thats the top of my funds (ok probably over the top)right now so there's nothing left to ship it. Sounds like a great find though.
