    Thank you!
I found the video to be interesting. I do not believe that I have seen it before.
I did find Loewy's shirt/jacket/trouser combinations to be distracting.
I was glad to see Bob Bourke in the opening picture. I can imagine what Bob was thinking in that posed picture.

      Right on. Thanks for sharing!

I always thought Loewy had a very good eye for design... the only part that pains me is hearing him pick apart that pretty three headed MCM pole lamp.

I have a similar three headed pole lamp in an extra bedroom. Mine is on a pole that goes from floor to ceiling. I believe that we purchased it in about 1964.

I have a couple of decorative pole lamps from the very early 1970's with three fixed shades aiming upward; one has a base, and the other goes floor-to-ceiling. The shades are made of that "spaghetti"resin that was popular for a short time, and are more of an accent light than task lighting. I find the style that Loewy is criticizing to be quite useful, as you can aim and turn on each head individually, use different wattage bulbs in each one for different tasks- quite configurable. And of course that aqua-white-salmon color scheme is . Mighta been thought of as "junk" in 1979, but it sure stands out in the ocean of junk commonly available today.*

          * This is coming from someone who liked midcentury furnishings long before they were cool, with a special emphasis on lighting. Having grown up in the 1980's and 90's, none of the stuff from that latter era appeals to me.

Thank you for posting it. I remember seeing it back in the day. I loved the part about the electronic clock.
