Currently, we have been mandatory evacuated. We live in Camino, ca. Fires too close. We are thinking on traveling the coast. We were thinking of Fort bragg. We have 2 dogs. Just want to travel the coast. Anyone have any suggestions on places to see. If there is a studebaker function, I would love to go.

Mendocino is nice. Willits has the Skunk Train as does Ft. Bragg. The Benbow Inn is a nice place to stay, but I don't know if the dogs are allowed. How close is the Caldor Fire to Placerville? I needed to pick something up from there."Man plans, God laughs".

We have: free Concerts by the Bay on Thurs evenings, rugged coastline, old town style shipping districts, Redwood grove hikes, Sequoia Zoo with its new Redwood canopy walk (see pix), farmer's markets, Swing Dancing, near by beach camping, Arcata Marsh trail... and my 56 P-Hawk.
