Seeing what other people have done. I believe I can repair them because most of the metal is solid after a fairly thorough blast. Worth it? Or buy replacements?

You could them welded up, primed, and ready to use in a couple of hours. Unless you can get NOS ones, or used ones from a dry Southwester truck, chances are the replacements will need work, too. They don't have to be welded up real pretty; the front side is completely hidden when the lamps and bezels are installed, and the back side can be coated with undercoating, which hides a lot.

Thats what i was thinking, they are as solid as can be with rhe exception of a couple holes.

If you find replacements make sure they are exactly the same. While the chrome rims are the same as '47-49 Champion cars (except the weep hole), just turned upside down, the buckets are NOT the same. The mounting points are different between the truck version and the car version. BTDT! Make sure you get buckets for trucks.
