We saw the Arial View by Drone of Vern's Place posted here, but THIS is just UNBELIEVABLE !
So THAT'S who's Place it was, Vern Edinger was a well known Parts Seller in SDC.
Seeing THAT many Studes. up close is WAY beyond Amazing and Awesome!
Sounds like a Great Guy, but of course he has No clue what is good to save of what is left of those Cars.
He went right by some fairly complete Hawks, never said a word, but THOSE are the ones that actually HAVE Saleable, in demand Parts also those "R" Series Truck Cabs, a Dozen or Two.
I hope a nearby Studebaker knowledgeable person can help him out.StudeRich

The narrator does not know sh@! from shinola as far as cars. If it didn't have a name badge he didn't know what it was. As he says "it a business" More and more places are going by the wayside. No sense of history.
On the other side of the coin, we can't save them all.

Summer of '93 or '94, I went to the Skyline Halstead, KS plant on business, and spied Vern's yard after my first visit to the plant from my hotel. He had a '55 Champion Regal Sedan with some pristine "Butterknife" moldings that I snatched, paid for, and took back to Indiana for my '55. I had to explain to my employer why I didn't get home on time. But the experience of walking his yard back then, let alone the parts score, was worth it. It was100 degrees when I was in the yard, and the drive back to Indiana brought that weather with me. Never forget the experience. Never expected to run into it. Hope the best was preserved.

Vern had the last Studebaker that Asa Hall ever bought (1948 M-16 grain truck) sitting at his place. I ended up buying it from Sharon.
Years ago, one of the women that worked for Vern picked up a Studebaker I had bought at auction and brought it back to Vern’s shop where he got it shipped out to me. The buggy now resides in Australia.
