I have been working on the 55 wiring dash, new heater motor, gas sending unit, pulled motor sent to machine shop. The transmission i s As10-5P serial no. 94277, this cannot be the one that came with car, is this a flightomatic? Thanks for input

Yes, that means that the Converte,r Converter Housing and Rear Engine Mounts are '56 to '64, as well as the Trans. is a Flight-O-Matic, probably Not with Low gear start like the '55, 3 Band, Detroit Gear (DG-250M) was.
Has the Car been converted to a One Piece Driveshaft or some kind of Conversion Yoke to adapt the Two Piece Shaft to a Slip Yoke type Trans.?
That would be IF the Trans. is a Long Tail '58 to '64. It would have been an easier conversion if they used a '56 or '57 Short Tail Trans.StudeRich

Yes it has a One piece driveshaft, you said the motor numbers were from 64 lark so someone must have switched drivetrain. Thanks StudeRichComment
