  • Champ yard decor, added another to the collection today

Found this on Farcebook Marketplace last night for $250, so I wasted seven hours today bringing it home from near Duluth, MN (120 miles away from me).
Loading it took a lot of effort being that none of the wheels turn. Unloading only required hooking a chain from it to the parked Minneapolis-Moline and then pulling the trailer out from under it.
At least I saved some good parts from the crusher (good windshield and other glass, has a complete V8 and a 4-speed, etc.).

From what I can make out from the worn signage painted on the door, it belonged to an electrical contractor business (perhaps had a utility body originally, the flatbed doesn't fit well) and the business was in Kenyon, MN (there was a Studebaker dealership in that town). It is a 1963 3/4-ton model (8E-12, ser. # E12-6445)

I don't yet know if the engine is seized as the fan belt broke when attempting to turn it. 88,xxx miles on the odometer. It was last licensed in 1984, so the odds of it being free are not good, but I will attempt to turn it over this evening.

It doesn't matter how rough they are, they are still enjoyable to bring home. Perhaps I have very low standards.

COOL! The "Other" '63 3/4 Ton 8E-12 posted here yesterday, is Serial #6517 vs your 6445.

Brent, it is easy to do when you have property to drag them home and then figure out what to do, good for you.
