I discovered my 54 will be qualified to run up the hill at Newport. I understand that Studebakers are very competitive there. Anybody here into Newport?

My father was very into the Newport Hill Climb.. The Indy Chapter has a big following going to Newport every year. I currently have my father's car that made several record runs at Newport. It has been a few years since The Possum Smasher ran there. It would need a fresher clutch to really compete. It doesn't quite bark 'em like it used to. That '54 you bought is a sweet car. Have fun going up the hill. I may see you there. Barry

The former "Newport Hill Climb record holder" resides now at our garage here in Helsinki, Finland. It is going through some body repairs and basic issues like brakes, fuel , ignition etc. Also the interior is in process. Thank you Barry for all your help in assisting with the delivery . I may not be able to bring it back to Newport Hill Climb but the stickers on the window will stay there. And it will continue to surprise the drivers of some more modern vehicles in traffic here.
