  • rear bumper trunk guard

The owner of this says it fits a '48 - 52 Studebaker. Can anyone verify this? It has adjustable brackets on the underside. Any idea what model it might fit? Click image for larger version

I know some will disagree, but I think it would look better on the scrap pile, vs on a Studebaker.

      It's your car, Bing.

The auxiliary bumper guard kits offered by Studebaker weren't bad looking.
      This isn't one of them.
Which is not to say it won't fit; but the one you are looking at is aftermarket; not Studebaker.

I have to agree with Matt, WHY would you want the thing? A Cow Catcher for a Kenworth or Mack?

Mary had one of these NOS-a remnant of her divorce. Someone actually paid good money for it, both when it was bought, and when she was able to find a buyer for it on eBay. No accounting for taste!

I never said I wanted it, but someone else might. The owner is asking $150.00.

Actually could be useful. My Dad's 1952 Dodge hardtop had a chrome guard on the front bumper. It protected the car from any damage when an oil delivery truck backed into it . Without it, there would have been major damage to the hood and front fenders. I had stopped the car behind the truck in an alley at the time. When I blew the horn, the truck driver looked in his mirrors but only saw the car behind me.
