Editor Perseverance

Ann Turner has been the Turning Wheels editor for over 20 years, and we all thank her for that. Many editors have done the job for their local chapter for even longer. I wonder which chapter editor has the longest continuous stretch, doing the job?

The Atlantic Canada Chapter SDC is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Our only editor (and also one of the Chapter founders) has been Graham Gagne. His excellent work has won many SDC awards for bi-monthly newletters, both for print and on-line versions of StudeNews. Many members will also know Graham as a parts vendor for more than 20 years (kgworks.ca/Studeparts). Congratulations to a great friend for outstanding work!

Frank I believe that would be you, with the 56J Only, which you began providing in 1988, if I recall correctly.

Thanks for the mention, Joe. True, I have been doing 56J Only for over 30 years, but I know of a few chapter editors who have also been doing the job for quite a while. Chris Collins, Terry Judd, Doug Hughes, Wayne & Ann Lee, to name a few, were chapter editors, I used to exchange newsletters with when I was the Orlando Area Chapter editor till 2012. I know Chris and Wayne/Ann are still the editors of their chapters because I am still on their mailing list and, the SDC site still lists Terry Judd as the Editor.

I believe Bob Williams who does the newsletter for the Portland area has been Editor for some 40 years or more. I don't think Bob is on here on the Forum a lot.
