  • Attention Barry Hackney-Browne Auto Salvage

    Barry,
As written up in July 2021 Hot Rod magazine, there is a mention of Browne Auto Salvage, Sunset Texas. You are probably aware they mention lots of Studebakers there.
    Cheers, Bill

A WHOLE LOT of 40's, 50's and 60's Cars and some Trucks! Quite amazing, just an unbelievable SIZE collection.

In the first 4.50 Minutes I must have seen around a Dozen or more Studes.
      '47 to '52 Starlight Coupes, 4 Doors, a '62 Lark Hardtop, a GT Hawk, a '56 Golden Hawk, Several '63 Larks, at least 2, '59/'60 Lark Hardtops even a '55 Clipper Hardtop.
it appears people are allowed to go in there and Part them out.
      23.50 Min. Total.

UPDATE: I found the Studebaker Bonanza!
Close to a Hundred at 14:55 Min. to 17.05 THEN it goes to another Row of Studes. until 17:47 Min. !!! ...Unbelievable!
      bunches of C's and K's, 3 '55 President State's, a '56 Sky Hawk, 2 '58 Commander 4 Doors, a '58 Commander Hardtop, R Series Trucks, Champs, GT Hawks, Wagonaires, Larks Galore!

You can see that after around 60- 70 years most have been pretty well parted out, stored in the Hot Texas Sun so long most Paint is burned off and rusted.

Besides a plethora of our favorite marque, there is even a Pacer, Gremlins and an MGB GT. The real bonus of the drone flight is not having to compete with the slippery devils in the grass!

Geeze, what an incredible percentage of Studebakers, all things considered. 'Must have been one or more really good Studebaker dealers in the area. Thanks for the post! BP

While the Texas sun is pretty hard on them, he has actually been in the acquisition mode and brought a lot of them in in the last year or two. He shows them on Facebook when he brings them in to his yard. Sells parts on-line as well.
