  • Harrington Washington Studebaker gathering

Does anyone care to comment on the Barth family annual Harrington Washington gathinering? I saw that it was scheduled for last weekend, but have seen nothing more about it.

An absolutely perfect day for a car show.

It was the largest to date, at least 175 cars there. Interestingly, there were fewer Studebakers than usual, but new Corvettes, Camaros, Mustangs, rat rods, a Ford Model A, several hot rods, customs and trucks.

All in all, a wonderful tribute to Allen Jay Barth.

      Jack,

Thanks for responding. I'm so glad that everything went well. Allen was a close friend. One of those unique people never to be forgotten. How his dreams eventually play out, and whether the long term resurrection of Harrington continues remains to be seen, but it wasn't for the lack of trying.

Allen restored our '63 R1 Avanti we bought from John Boyle. I have a Studebaker Garage (Allen's shop) hat that was given to me by a friend from Port Angelis. We sold the Avanti in January, 2020.

Yes, beautiful weather, and great cars! Sorry I missed you Jack! It was fun to be doing this again; actually getting out amongst others and such.....
