  • BIG NEWS More Rear Quarters Coming

See post on CK Aftermarket Rear Fenders....but here is my update :OK BIG NEWS, THAT'S WHY THE CAPITALS!!! Steve contacted me and said a run of the quarters is in the works right now. 8 to 12 weeks out. The distributors of Goodmark will have supply as well as Goodmark. If I were you looking for these I would hit the Rockauto site and check the notify me box for supply.

I did mention front fenders would fetch a king's ransom! We were only exchanging texts...so no reply to that comment. AHHH Imagine front fenders, rear quarters, and I have two doors as spares!!!! I could drive with reckless abandon!!!! I have to stop using exclamation points like they were free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also think it is interesting that Goodmark is doing another run on the rear "fender". I bought the first two pair from Goodmark. I had several communications with Steve on the future of other parts and there seamed to be little interest in front fenders or doors. I would think a door skin would be relatively easy compared to the rear fender. I also wish that they would at least do the cost analysis on a front fenders and door skins and let the Stude community decide if they are affordable.

What door skin would they do - there are three different lower skins for '53-'64 C & K (two swoop sizes plus no swoop)?

NOS CK outer fenders are available if one is willing to pay the price. Usually $1200+.

IIRC, when the rear fenders were first released they were in the $500 range. Since it took over 7 years to sell out the first batch, prices dropped from some of the suppliers who probably got tired of sitting on them.

In any case, front outer fenders are more complex than the rear. I would guess that a re-pop front outer fender would cost at least as much as NOS and likely more.

Obviously, rear quarters are much simpler to tool up and stamp than front fenders, but over the sixty years I've owned C/K bodies, I've needed ten times as many fronts as rears.

I still have N.O.S.front fenders 1953-1962 C/K bodies for sale $2800.00 for a pair. I have plenty of repairable used fenders and N.O.S drivers side rear fenders, Lark fronts and dozens of Lark/Hawk hoods.
