  • Anyone remember Alewife Motors Studebaker in Medford, Mass.

Does anyone remember Alewife Studebaker 33 Mystic Ave Medford, MA 02155 Later Alewife Automotive?

I found this on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1962-Studeb...AAAOSwVqJgECem

When I researched this Name I got this and a lot more:

    https://www.yelp.com/biz/alewife-automotive-medford

There are 38 Pictures here on 2 Pages of how it looked in sometime past.

Also I can't be sure this is the same location as their Stude. Dealership was or even if it is the same Family that sold Studebakers, it is likely but could even have been a relative.

Here is another Auto Shop under the Alewife Name, Alewife Auto Body Shop at 10 Sunnyside Ave. in Arlington, MA, on the Somerville line, now closed:

Alewife is a section of Cambridge MA. It is closer to Arlington than Medford but we are only talking a few miles. I think that is where my father purchased his 50 Champion

        From Post #1.
They seriously had those prices DOWN!
They even show that if you order a 289 Engine it cost's almost $10.00 More on Non-Wagons, because Wagons already have the Dana Model 44 HD Axle!

Based on a review of ads I noticed, Alewife was planning for the future. By 1965 it had become a Triumph car dealer along with International. The ads found for these brands far out numbered those for its Studebaker brand.

I grew up in Winchester, remember the drive-in , but not dealerships. 1964 was the watershed year for Studes.
