I have toyed with the same idea. I have a '62 Daytona 2dr. HT with 4-spd. and a rust-free shell with NOS hood, trunk, and all fenders that I have tried many times to sell, but nobody wants it other than scrappers. I've thought about going with a street legal stock car with modern front and rear suspension and Chevy power. So far other projects have come ahead of it because it's hard to put money and hours into a car that few in the general hobby would want. But IMO most any car from the 50s or 60s look cool as hell as a stock car. The above car takes a dowdy design and makes it look tough. That's a win in my book.Proud NON-CASO
