Glad it's legit. Good luck buyers. eBay doesn't make it easy, do they? Accurate descriptions should trump their rules, or be part of them within reason.

I've been trying to figure out what those wheels are... I think they're regular production car wheels- maybe Lincoln or Grand Marquis...? Any ideas?

Corvette. Steve already ID'd them in an earlier post.

I'm not sure about that. Steve said "Corvette-like", and I agree- but they don't quite look like Vette wheels to me

Pretty nice piece of work IMOHO. We were parked side-by-side for some time at Omaha, and I looked it over thoroughly. Naturally I would do some things differently, but he got the hard stuff right and everything else would be fairly easy to change. I do have to disagree with StudeRich on the stance. It just sits too high for my tastes-air ride would be one of the things I would add. If I had the extra room (and spare change) I would be tempted to hit the "buy it now"-there's no way you could duplicate it for that amount. I know Ken was asking a LOT more than that when he first offered it for sale.

I like it. In some pictures is has a Sunbeam Alpine/Tiger look to it. Definitely a sports car aura. Anything I don't like about the car could be easily changed or fixed. Looks like it is well constructed. I'd like to see it in person some day.

That figures! One look at that Convertible that always looks like it has 4 broken springs tells it ALL! [xx(] Doesn't it have a DRIVEABLE height, I've never seen it in that mode?

It seems once the whitewalls and wheel covers start to disappear under the wheel well openings they do look to low. Look at Dick's signature in his message above. The Ute pic on the right looks much better with the higher stance. I guess the shape of the wheel opening would be a big factor too.

Nice build, nice car. I like the stance. Colors are subjective to ones personal opinion. For the price, and if it is engineered correctly, I'd say it's a good deal. I like it. jimmijim

Well, you know the saying- "If you think it's too low, you're too old!"

If that's true I've been too old most of my life[:I] There are plenty of cars that look good lowered, but I've yet to see a Studebaker car I thought looked better lowered... to me they always look like they need a suspension rebuild[|)][|)][|)] TEHO, of course.

I like it, too. I see the seller has explained the spurious engine-room picture. Easy enough to make a mistake. No biggie.

I wish there were a little more data on how the roof was done, and how the wheelbase was shortened, and what was done to the frame. If that car was at Omaha, chances are Craig P. will have some pics.

                        Gord Richmond,
He explains that the car is on a Lark convertible frame. This is the way that I have seen these shortened convertibles built in the past. This gives a 12 inch shorter whelbase (120.5 to 108.5) without any frame alterations.
