I have an ebay scan for Studebaker's within 200 miles of me. This one was in today's mail. While i have no more room for another car right now, i did wonder if I drove over to look at it if that same mechanic would be there laying on the creeper using the same uniform in the picture. I have to admit, it did make me smile.

That truck is a beautiful piece of art and the builder can be proud of his craftsmanship, but at some point a vehicle like this ceases to be real in an automotive sense. If you look at the size of the owner and then look at the compromised nature of the interior space you can bet he did not drive it much. To most of us the real joy of owning a Studebaker is driving it. Re the "model",I bet her parents are very proud of her.

Just got back in from the shop and studying my creeper. It doesn't matter what angle I use, it doesn't look like that.

I don't know why her parents wouldn't be proud of her, after all there's nothing wrong with being comforatble while working on or displaying a Studebaker. I don't know about them but i think most of us are proud of her willingness to be part of the stude family.

And other tahn being a little hard to steer i think she can drive and fit in that truck quite well.
