The "Climatizer" actually has two heater cores and two fan motors.
One core and motor on the firewall for the window defogger, and a separate core and motor for the cabin heater.
The engine coolant flows through both cores when the Ranco valve is opened, but the blower motors have separate power supplies.

What Brad said, HOWEVER if the Car in question happens to be a '59 to '66 Lark, Lark Type or '63/'64 GT Hawk or Avanti, the '47-'58 System was redesigned to use FRESH Air & Heat for Defrosting as well as Fan Power and eliminating the separate Defroster Core and Fan making it work about 60% Better!
That is: as long as you leave the Right Fender Fresh Air DOOR Open or the under dash Handle for Right Hand Fresh Air. In order to take full advantage of the Ram Air effect.
(Of course on Left Hand Drive Cars.)

Whenever you are talking "Accessories" on 1960's and older Cars, the "Standard" items varied a Lot by Make and Model and Year.

On All Studebakers like Most Non-Luxury 50's Cars, unless you ordered it, or had it Dealer Installed & PAID for it, you basically got 5 Wheels and FIVE Tires "Standard" with your New Car.
On most Trucks, you got 5 Wheels and FOUR Tires!

You want a Side View driver's side Mirror? That'll be be $5.95 please!

There are about 720 Accessories listed in the 1961 Parts and Accessories Price List!
Of course it includes more than what a single year model could use, and some an individual would never use, but still A LOT!

64gran turismo - please be descriptive in your post titles. One-word titles aren't enough to get eyeballs on them (I modded this post title for you.)

Since we're on the subject, I thought that I remembered reading that the window defogger could be ordered separately. Somebody with more knowledge, or a better memory can verify that.
Tom Senecal Not enough money or years to build all of the Studebakers that I think I can.

Yes there was one, but it was for the Rear Backlight, not sure how well it would work however, without Heat, just a Fan.
All Climatizers have Defrost, so why would you need one?
