  • Wondering about a few long time members

Read through the revived thread re: Bondo Billy’s passing with both happiness and sadness. I saw some good friends who have left the forum and therefore have fallen out of touch. Does anyone have any info on: Ellen Glass, Dick Clemens, Frank Drumheller, and Scotty Bob? Also I know they’re active but just not here much if at all: Jim Turner, JDP, and Matt Burnette, and evening crabby old Biggsy

It would be great to see updates on any or all of these folks that have crossed my path in the Studebaker world. And, I’m sure there are some I missed in this early morning post...

Frank & Jackie Drumheller are in a retirement home and experiencing some health problems. They dropped out of our chapter a couple years ago as they couldn't come to meetings anymore and couldn't read our newsletter either. Frank was one of our main contributors for many years. We wish them well.

At least three of the ones you listed above are active on Fecesbook.

For the rest that aren't, why not give them a call like you did with Jim Kranik a couple of months ago?

I saw Jim Turner last weekend. Never met him before as I am relatively new here. Bought Bondo Billy's 47 convertible. Jim drove back to SC, he didn't know he was driving into a hurricane. But he made it, no problem; just like Cap'n Dan I guess. (Forrest Gump reference) It was a pleasure meeting him, great crowd here.

Matt Burnette works at Stephen Allen's. He didn't like the format changes in the Forum so stopped contributing.

No, definitely Scotty Bob, as mentioned in the Bondo Billy eulogy thread. Also wondering about Anne Goodman.

No one is comfortable with change; yet it is the one thing in life most of us are powerless to prevent.
We can help create it, or adapt to it.

I email, text & speak to Ellen Glass regularly, she is doing well. She has moved into a condo closer to her daughter, son in law and grand kids in White Plains NY. and She still has the "Hawk from Hell"
