The 1959 Stude Scotsman Shows Why Studebaker Pickups Make Some of the Best Custom Trucks

  • #2
I have owned two 1959 Scotsman pickups. Both had the Deluxe package (grille) and were restomods.

The before Pics show a really Nice clean little Original '59 Scotsman Pickup, also their "Other" Hot Rod Mag. April 16, 2020 Edition Picture of a Green '56 President "W" Body 4 Door Sedan they Plan to make into a really Cool 2 Door Hardtop.
Too bad they did not start with a '58 Starlight, it would be much less work to "spiff it up".

BOTH very nice original Vehicles being and about to be, TOTALLY ruined, too bad they didn't choose poorer quality ones.

        Rich,

It's sure not the same as when we were young. In those days it was the marginally savable cars that were saved by the kids. For the last thirty years it's been find the best survivor or restored vehicle, because the thought is that they are perceived to be the easiest to work on. It's no longer the kids that are committing to the process. Just shrug it off you can't save them all.
