  • The Studebaker that brought me into the fold.

Another member mentioned that I put up some pics of my new Studebaker (64' Daytona), which is my first and why I'm asking so many tech questions on here. Been a lot of things to fix thus far (fairly minor) and love that I joined the club, has been a lifesaver so far. Enjoy! Click image for larger version

ID:	1845730 Haha. Thanks gents, when the wife gave the thumbs up after the Army, I wanted something good to start with as I learn to do more with them! She has the original everything (minus rims), so the 259 with the Flight-o-Matic 3 speed. It has the power booster brakes, and engine still seems strong but I don' t think she got much love., as all the general maintenance items were poor (bad plugs, wires, distributor is put in wrong, etc..) Think it sat most of the last few years. But she only has 52K original miles, so I have a great platform to become a Stude for life! Here are some pics the guy took when I bought it (hopefully their bigger). Click image for larger version

What are the tire sizes front and rear?

NOW ya got it Scott! All those funky, tiny little "Facebook" Red & Blue thingy's just do not work!
Nice looking '64 Daytona "Hardtop", ... that's the word many forget to mention.

I guess some are not aware or forget, there are Daytona 4 Door SEDANS, Wagonaires, and Convertibles!

Those are not just "Power Boosted Brakes", as you now know, they are the Power Disc Brakes that were the ONLY Make to have them in 1963 as Standard Equipment on Avantis and an Option on all other 1963 to 1966 Studebaker Cars.

This is great! I love learning the lingo/tech from your veterans, a I wasn't even born when Stude went out of business! Trying to now get my teenage son involved in the work so he can enjoy one day.

From now on, it's a 64 Daytona hardtop. Love it.

The tires are 215/65/15 on Carroll Shelby rims.
