    Here's a data plate:

However, not all Listers were built by Avanti; the later versions were by Beck.

There seem to be a LOT of different styles of Lister's? , so I can't tell which one was built by Avanti Motors, but the Co. still exists in the U.K.

Perhaps it is your memory or you didn't know in the first place.
The Special Vehicle Operations Division of Avanti (SVO) sold about 47 Listers and six Porsche 904 replicas. The Lister was a two seat open sport car, a little like a Corvette or Cobra. It was built for a 5.7 litre Chevrolet V8 and four speed manual transmission.

The 904 replicas were called the Beck 904. They were sold without an engine but set up for a Chebbie small block so the buyer could install one of whatever power level was desired.

Yes. I sat in one of the completed Listers in Villa Rica.
Cute little thing built for midget....er.. short people.
They had to help/pry me out of it..
They had the clone Porsche there too, but asked us not to talk about it (for legal reasons...at that time).
