  • Short Notice: Super Deal on NAPA ATF

Through Friday, June 26th, NAPA is having a super sale on their own NAPA-branded (made by Valvoline) Dex-Merc Automatic Transmission fluid formulated for pre-2006 automobiles; i.e., ours. It's only $2.49 per quart, but the sale runs out Friday. Regular price is $6.29 per quart!

The UPC number on the sale bottle (I just bought all five bottles they had at our NAPA store an hour ago) is:

    0-28882-90318-9.

    Helluva deal! BP

Even though I prefer Ford Type "F", I don't think I can pass up THAT Deal Bob, Thank you.
I can always put it in a flipper Car or to flush one out!

ALL their NAPA-branded automatic transmission fluids are on sale, Rich; the ad reads, "...as low as $2.49."

While that specific DEX/MERC ATF is the $2.49 item, the Ford Type F you prefer is also on sale through the 26th, but I don't know its original price or its sale price. You can ask if you go.

(I hope this sale is in all markets, too; there was nothing in the sale flyer that suggested limited markets.) BP

They must do different portions of the Country COMPLETELY Different.
I logged on to NAPA and went Oil, took about 1/2 Hour to find ATF in Oil and Chemicals! No deals, all $7 something.
Found it, and their "Sale" here is on "Conventional Motor Oil" $2.49 a Qt. but when you click on it you find out it is really NAPA Synthetic Blend 5W20 Only! All Others are $6 something!
Time to move to South Bend!

            Bob,

So, even when you bought all of the stock you could, you could only fill your DG250 to the half way point? Hope you found some more somewhere.

I couldn't find it on sale in Canada.

I logged on to NAPA, put "Automatic Transmission Fluid" in search bar and it came up in 5 sec. Unfortunately not on sale in my market. Price is $6.55.

Regardless of whether or not the sale is in your region...this is a good "HEADS-UP" service we can share with each other here on our forum. Bob has taken notice and in the past, he has posted similar sales events for our benefit. I believe some of the sales have been national and other regional. In cases where the various retailers are franchise-type operations, I suspect that franchise owners have the discretion to participate or negotiate their own sales terms and contracts.

Lately, I have been staying at home with plenty of projects to keep me busy. But, if I were to notice such "deals," that I think would be of interest and a benefit to others, I would certainly post it. I encourage all to do the same. It can help us individually and encourage such "specials," by the various suppliers.

What John Clary said. I picked up a slick, full-color sale flyer in the store Wednesday morning when picking up an oil pressure sending switch for my 1972 Buick LeSabre Custom convertible. (And BTW, can you believe that even though that switch fits millions and millions of GM vehicles from roughly 1960-1989, that it had to be special-ordered? Unbelievable!)

I took the flyer home and looked it over and concluded that was a helluva deal on the transmission fluid, so I went back to the store later in the day and bought all 5 they had in stock. I really didn't need it because I've got at least 25 quarts of comparable product on hand bought on sale previously, but that was a screaming-good deal for name-brand fluid...and with that being the correct fluid for 6 of my 8 collector cars, why not?

There was no indication on the flyer as to the sale being regional or local, so I would have no way of knowing that...nor was any mention made of internet sales one way or another. BP

Hi Bob, I decided to check at our local Napa store here in Odessa Washington, population less than 900 in Eastern Washington.
I asked the manager what price he on his DEX- MERC Napa branded transmission fluid, Sure enough, his price was the same, $2.49 per quart!
So I grabbed 5. I think tomorrow I'll pickup another 5 . Thank you for the heads up on this, Bob. I would not have noticed myself.

This is the "Lost Vegas" sale they are running because the EXPO in Vegas was cancelled. It is supposed to last "while supplies last" or until June 30th. Every corporate store will participate and Franchise stores can buy-in if they chose to.

Yes Bob, I got back to the store Friday afternoon to pick up another five quarts. The manager told me the sale is good till June 30 on Napa branded transmission and motor oil.
