Welcome to the SDC Forum and the wonderful world of Studebakers.
First, it is a Gran Turismo. Studebaker used an I (upper case i) for a 1 (one) in the Serial Number for that time frame.
Your car was assembled in South Bend, IN near the beginning of the model year.
We would need a good description and pictures to begin to give you a value, other than $200 to $13,000.

Equipment is critical to the desirability and Value of a Studebaker and especially a GT Hawk.
Here are just the Major concerns, beyond Condition and Driveability of course:

Manual 3 Speed Column Shift Trans. ?

Manual 3 Speed Column Shift Trans. with Overdrive ?

Automatic 3 Speed Column Shift Trans. (Flight-O-Matic) ?

Automatic 3 Speed Floor Shift Trans. (Power Shift) ?

4 Speed Manual Floor Shift. ?

      4 Barrel Carb. ?

Avanti (Jet Thrust) R1 Engine ?

Manual or Power Drum Brakes ?

      Power Disc Brakes ?

      Color Exterior ?

      Color Interior ?

I'll add to Rich's list. The condition of the interior including the seats, headliner, door panels etc. the condition of the exterior including any body damage such as rusting both in the body and frame, condition of the chrome, lights, wheels, the trim parts such as dented and or missing stainless steel parts and the overall driving condition of the car will greatly effect the car's resale value. Get some pictures posted and then we can give you an idea of the car's value. Bud

Either an R2 Engine, or air conditioning, could also be possibilities?
