I wonder how many newer members know about the great Ted Harbit’s world famous Chicken Hawk. This car was the terror of drag strips for decades until she met her untimely end in a brutal racing accident which, remarkably, Ted walked away from.
Ted gave me the gas pedal from the Chicken Hawk as a souvenir. My intention was to combine it with other items as a donation to an SDC auction or raffle. Thus far it still sits here, unused. To me it is an iconic artifact that should be part of a display. If anyone has a use for it along those lines, let me know, and let’s see what you have in mind.
