  • Anniversary of Lathrop G. Hoffman's Passing, April 2, 2014

April 2, is coming up soon, the Date in 2014 that Lathrop G. Hoffman passed away in Pasadena, CA.
Lathrop was Paul G. Hoffman's Son and like his Dad the long time Studebaker Corp. President, he was very active in the Automotive Community.

Owned Sierra Autocars in Monrovia, the makes of cars changed over the years.

Originally, this was Clifford T. Nutt Packard. Hoffman acquired the land, tore down the Spanish building, erected what you see today.

Dealership is just north of the 210 freeway, there's a giant Panda on the roof that can be seen for miles.

I stopped here once to look at something, don't recall what. Began looking at pics on the walls in the showroom.

Had an epiphany when I recognized Paul G. Hoffman. Asked a salesman if the owner was available, I wanted to ask him a question.

Salesman said the owner Lathrop Hoffman is in his office. I told the salesman he had just answered my question.

Had correspondence with him (Lathrop) and he was a member to the Antique Studebaker Club. He made a $200 donation. Photo below one of those on the walls of the dealership mentioned above.
