In order to lighten the mood around here a scotch, here's a little comic guaranteed to brighten up someone's day. I know it did for me!

Jake Robinson Kaywell: Shoo-wops and doo-wops galore to the background of some fine Studes. I'm eager and ready to go!

1962 GT Hawk - "Daisy-Mae" - she came dressed to kill in etherial green with a charming turquoise inside. I'm hopelessly in love!

It would make more sense with skosh in place of your "scotch". For those that may not know, skosh means a little bit.

I seem to recall that picture and others like it were available on T-shirts for purchase. Don't remember who was doing them, but I would like to purchase of them for gifts and wear them myself.

What is the point in using Dutch on this USA SDC Forum? I am not saying that it is not fitting.

No point. The term "a little bit" just made me think of the Dutch translation and my fingers went to work. I suppose putting the translation after it might have been better. It's been a long day and my brain is losing traction.

I don't know about you, but I'm in favor of a little scotch right about now.

See no problem using Dutch or any other language. U.S. English is such a hodgepodge. FWIW, skosh is an Americanization of a Japanese word.

Sounds like you might need some TWIN TRACTION, my friend. Would you like the Studebaker, Packard, or S-K-O-S-H variety?

No offence to Gary (his fact-checking is appreciated), but I concur! Maybe I should come up with my own brew of scotch! Hmmm...how about "Twin Traction" for the name?

I probably should have restrained from commenting. I had just gotten home from getting some not good news from a doctor, so I wasn't looking at things in a humorous light. I do not want to dampen your enthusiasm Jake.

I too remember that image. I think that it was put out by one the vendors that are no longer with us.

                        Gary,
I wish you nothing but the best & hope the news is just a temporary setback. Keep us up to date as I enjoy reading your posts.

Aww nuts...hopefully you'll be around in good spirits for a while yet.

Thank you. I am scheduled for surgery next month.
