Well, we brought the better of the Speedsters home today. The whole thing only took about 10 hours.
First we had to move the car in front of the door which we had not paid much attention to on the first trip. It is a Hudson 2 door hardtop that is very rusty. I guess the man who had these cars really wanted a Twin H Hudson. The car was sitting on concrete blocks with no wheels and the rear end was not bolted in. Getting it out of the shop was a challenge!
We could probably get this car for parts, but we don't really know much about Hudsons. We did find the parts squirreled away in the building among the Studebaker things. We left the car outside like the man told us. Scrap?
We finally got to the Speedster. It was also up on blocks sitting on nearly flat tires. After lots of jacking and getting the tires aired/changed, we dragged the car out. The right front wheel refused to turn, but we got it pulled out and onto the trailer. Thank you James Stevens for your trailer with a winch.
After loading the car we searched the building for parts. The place was a mess because it has been used for other purposes and various things spread all around. After getting the obvious stuff we had to search cabinets and boxes, but we found lots of Studebaker pieces including several that we thought were missing. There are duplicates of some things.
We got loaded and tied down and got the car back up here around 6PM."In the heart of Arkansas."

I may ask him for the intake when we go back.....If it is still there.Originally posted by bob40 View PostThe Hudson intake/carbs/linkage/air cleaners is worth $800-1000 if complete. Intake manifolds with no carbs are worth $250-400. Thinking you left a few bucks sitting by the road."In the heart of Arkansas."
