  • Mabel works too

Well since I gave my El Camino to my nephew I don't have a pickup bed available 24/7 like I'm used too. So Mabel had to carry the ladder it was only a couple of blocks in the neighborhood. See its Pomegranate season and I make tons of Jelly. Oh Gus was busy he was full of Hawk engines parts so I couldn't use him. Just thought you would get a kick out of her working too.

    Good picture Anne.
I once saw a painter driving his 1948 Chevy sedan with a ladder tied to the front and rear bumper.
The ladder was under the car.

I've heard of ladder bars, but that takes the cake!

      1957 Transtar 1/2ton
      1960 Larkvertible V8
      1958 Provincial wagon
      1953 Commander coupe
      1957 President two door

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

Now if Mabel were a 50 or 51, one could argue she's sprouting wings.

yes, but only with the optional propeller mounted on the bullet.

Gee, Mabel and Bess have something in common. They're both working girls.[)]

Enjoyed the ladder picture, but we're also intrigued by the pomegranate jelly. Do you sell it? Is it easy to make? Maybe we're just extra hungry tonight, but can you tell us more? (If not here, than by email? Thanks!)

I make Pomegranate Jelly I have for about 25 years or so. Long process really good . I Make about 50 batches 25 cases every year. I sell enough to pay for my supplies so that I can give it away to friends and family. Just finished batch number 12 tonight. I can email you the recipe.

Anne, while leaving a concert a month ago I had drunken people walking into my car and slapping it. That ladder would have worked great! [^]

Good to see Mabel earning her keep, Anne.

Four doors are great workhorses. Even good for them thar South Jawjuh huntin' expeditions!

YES, it's a posed pic... The 8 year old did shoot his first deer that day, though. More info in the December issue of Turning Wheels.
