  • Studebelle's Steering Wheel

Had to laugh today, went to a fellow club member's house to let him look at Studebelle and get some advice. Interesting comment when he climbed behind the wheel for a drive - namely - someone had put the steering wheel on it's hub upside down, and nobody noticed.

    Gee, aren't old cars fun[?]

When I first purchased Suzy Studebaker I chased an elusive leak finally deciding it was Gas (petrol?). Chased it down to the fuel pump and found out someone had mixed pipe fittings, ferrule and flare threads then covered the joint with goop to seal it. Surprisingly enough it leaked just a bit.

In the US we call that kind of thing a "Bubba" fix; there must be a term like that you Aussies use.

    Happy Trails

Happy trails to you too, can't think of the term except stupidity, guess some folks don't know about Studebakers.
