  • Funny Gaffe in Studebaker commercial

Happened upon this one featuring Zsa Zsa Gabor, bragging about her new 63 Lark, dahling. At about the 43 second mark she exits the car and closes the door and it doesn't latch- just bounces[:I] Consummate pro that she is, she just leans her behind against the door and never misses a beat[8D]

    I can't believe Studebaker didn't re-shoot that scene!

I did get a chuckle out of it Here it is:

Robert (Bob) Andrews Owner- Studebakeracres- on the IoMT (Island of Misfit Toys!)
    Parish, central NY 13131

"Some people live for the rules, I live for exceptions"- 311

"Do they all not, by mere virtue of having survived as relics of a bygone era, amass a level of respect perhaps not accorded to them when they were new?"

Zsa Zsa was always a commedian first. She probably insisted that situation stay in. In fact, that might, just might have been intentional. Remember, she was a commedian after all.

          Clunk,

Actually she would be a comedienne, a female comedic entertainer.

Gramatically speaking,Guido, you're entirely correct. However, nowdays the female gender of the word has been dropped. But, I'll stick with the old way and happily stand corrected.

ya know ... I noticed when she exited the car (at about the 1:41 mark) the car door also didn't close....
Wonder if they did that intentionally since it did it both times..?? Maybe to keep it from having the "clunk" sounds in the middle of the dialogue
