  • Guido working Field Day of the Past -lots of pics

I went to the Field Day of the Past again this year. Guido is part of the event, and it is a wonderful event. There are lots of working vehicles like steam tractors, steam shovels, steam saw mills, and horse drawn equipment.

This is Guido (Gary Hearn) hard at work!

Gary's kids were in his buggys.

He had several of his vehicles there including his fire truck.

Several of our club members came with their Studebakers. This is Preston Young with his 65 Cruiser.

And another club member, Phil De Vos (Phipfox) with his 65 Daytona.

And I was there with my Stude.

Here are some of the activities.

Some of the old buildings from the little crossroads called Short Pump, just outside of Richmond, were moved to this site. Short Pump is now a huge metropolitan shopping area.

Cool beans, you guys! That's an event Cari and I would certainly like to attend sometime. (Gary's horse-drawn vehicles sure do get around.) Thanks for the pics, Leonard. BP
