  • Land Cruiser...I don't think so!

It is too bad someone took the Champion lettering off the front fenders of this car, now the vendor thinks he has a Land Cruiser!

It also looks like someone put a quickie paint job on an unrestored car without doing the necessary prep work:

It has a couple of small areas that have rusted through that can be easily fixed. The paint is new although there are some flaws, a few runs and dents not taken care of. The bill for the paint job was $1750.00 dollars.

I wonder if that's the case, or if the seller knows that the more related names he puts in his listing, the more potential viewers he gets via searches?

Some just put a whole paragraph of keywords at the bottom of their description...

What else would explain why so many different cars are described as "rat rod"? [}]

I wonder the same about the "Champion Commander" conv...?

That may be the case, now that eBay is cracking down on people who describe a car as: STUDEBAKER, NOT FORD OR CHEVY. Althougth this guy could have also put the word Champion on it, SINCE THAT IS WHAT IT IS.

                Hi
Boy, $1,750 for the paint job and they didn't even bother to paint the door jams and insides, what a bargain! I think that poor slob is going to get a real hard lesson on that car.

OK, I guess he can call it a Commander! I just saw one left tail light lense from a '50 Commander, [^]Champion on the other!

I especially like the way he painted over what looks to be a flange from a backup light!

I run, not walk from cars like that. quickie paint job on a rough car would just have to be stripped anytway.
