  • wild 52 in the background

This gentleman has his 55 coupe on ebay currently. I just happened to catch the car in the background, its in only 1 picture.

Quite a 52 hardtop!! I guess its somehow been mated with a Mercury. I'd like to know more about this one. Although owning one currently, the last thing I think they need are more trim applied.

I thought that car looked familiar, but I couldn't remember where I had seen it. Hard to believe someone cut the window out of a Ford Skyliner, but it could have come from a wreck or total rust bucket. There was a period of time when that type of custom was really popular and this one would certainly have drawn a lot of attention.

There were two short articles in Turning Wheels on this car. The guy who customized it is a SDC member. IIRC, he bought it back or at least tried to buy it back years later after he customized it.

And Bob, those are Mercury tailight assemblies.

I'm guessing the chrome housings are from a full-size '62 Mercury. The red bullet lenses are missing, though.[:0]

A big round thingy attached to the front, interior dash area. Required by International Law in order to define LH or RH.

[:I] Leonard: That wheel is difficult to see in the post, but it appears to be one of the squared-off types from a 1961 Plymouth or some such. (It may be easier for you to see there with the original print in front of you.) BP

                              I think you're right, either a 60 or 61 Plymouth.
