Sounds like the best way to get good pics of this one will require a camoflage outfit, infraared camera, extension ladder, heavy duty wire cutters and a coupla steaks.

I went by there today someone was there. He is the scoop It was driven in there 9 years ago last registered in 1999. Was smoking a little when it came in there. They have this one and a Parts Car they go as a couple. Looks pretty complete only missing drivers side vent window. The one guy seemed to think well this model sells on ebay for $15,000 to $20,000. Well I told him the 2door starlite coupes might get up there but not the 4 door versions. Most wanted were the 1950 & 1951 models. I told him what I paid for Mabel and what shape she was in for comparison. Running rolling stopping not well but she could do it for $1600. plus fresh runny paint. Anyhow he said that he wants $2500.00 for the pair of them. I told him that I would post this on the forum to see what you guys thought price wise. Let me know Thank you

I love how they always cite eBay as the authority

$2500 doesn't sound too shabby for 1+1. Looks, as you say, pretty complete. Might make a nice project! (Like you need any more of those!)

Thanks for the final pictures, Anne. Looks solid as heck. Two cars are worth the 2K range.

Sometimes I wonder where people get these e-bay prices. Yeah, [u]maybe</u> fifteen to twenty grand for a fully restored example. And few of them at that! Just ask all the people who've ended upside down on their cars on e-bay.

IMHO twenty-five hundred is a bit high. Still, the old girl seems in decent condition. As Clark says though, 1+1 is a good incentive. Two grand for the driver and five hundred for the parts car, perhaps?

Now the hard question; Do you really need another project[?] If the answer is yes, go for it!

Its not for me just trying to find it a home the most I would pay for both of them is $1,000 and I would want to see if I could get it to run before I would even offer that much. I don't have room for another one. Shoot given the time I'd spend on it if it was close to given to me it might not come home with me. Ok so who wants them?

I don't want any more projects. $2500 is pushing the upper limits as for as I'm concerned. In fact, MAYBE for a couple HUNDRED dollars, I'd think about hauling them home. And at that it would only be a gesture to see that they got a proper home eventually with someone else.

Heh - even that altimeter is sky high! That or there's one heck of a hill in Fresno that I've never seen![:0]

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

Come on, they're going for big bucks on ebay! I guess you're right, you have to consider the end worth and finding someone who loves that year at the end of it all. I'm used to rarely seeing an arid climate car back here. Guys like that love to throw 15-20K out there to get a 2K bite.
