Thanks for all the kind words here and on the other thread. Truth told, I've gotten A LOT more writing than Studebakering done of late. And most of it's not Stude related. I've shared tidbits of my stuff with a few individuals that frequent this forum - not to treat anyone special, just with those I think might care to read the stuff - since it does deal with things other than cars.

I've been teasing art with a Christmas story about a Studebaker that I think is better than the one he featured a few years ago. It's a story that us boomers (and others) could embrace. I just need to dig it out, dust it off and do a little bodywork to it and it'll be ready.[^]

Yep, thanks Art for putting a picture I took on the cover. Can't wait to see it in the flesh.

Matthew, that's a fine cover shot of your uncle's Starlight. Was that photo taken very far from your home?

Richard Quinn, Great article about the service pins. Like your hopes of finding a 60-year example, I still look forward to finding a genuine 58 Packard Hawk horn button.

Also Richard, you mention that one of your collection pieces was recovered from the Admin bldg. after the automotive division shut down. I'd like to know/hear more about WHO thought to rescue some of this stuff and how you found out about such. Makes my head hurt to think of stuff that WASN'T rescued as that building was cleaned out.[V]

Thanks Bob. It's about 20 miles from here. The barn is part of a Civil Wat era plantation. Even the old slave quarters are still there.

I'm hoping my Uncle gets his TW soon. He has no idea that his car is gracing the cover. [8D]
