  • Why do I Like cars like these?

    Ughhh... it's SO ugly....

I have no idea why I'm so attracted to this thing... thank Heaven it's too far away from me......

What is it about the mutts that I'm drawn to...? Believe me, I love the sharp, beautiful cars... but I seriously can't explain my attraction to raggedy Studes also... maybe the whole "neglected puppy" thing...[B)][:I]

P.S. Nice use of the word, "widget" in the link- what's up with that? [)]

I was sort of attracted to it too, until he mentioned the rust issues. I like the fact that it is V8 with 3 on the tree. With a little work and money (Well, maybe a lot) it could look like this.

There is a big difference in the appearance of 1962 and 1963 sedans ("greenhouse" area). I have owned several 1963 sedans, but I have never had an interest in owning a 1962 sedan, even though I have had some good chances. I know that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" and "different strokes for different folks", but I just don't care for the looks of 1962 sedans and wagons. 1962 hardtops and convertibles are a different story.

Good parts car; serious rust issues, which is why people make fiberglass front fenders and aftermarket floor pans and rockers.

For the price, it could make a good project for a teenager who isn't afraid to work and learn, and make his/her first car something with vestment.

Twenty years from now we'll wish someone had saved it.
Right now I have sufficient projects to see me in to my golden years.
