  • Bass-ackwards again!

Well, I did it again. Both my fuel and temperature gauges pegged soon after starting the car. I KNEW the car wasn't running hot and that the gas tank wasn't full. Still, the gauges indicated as much -- even though they didn't do that before I had the car apart for restoration and rewiring. Turns out I had the wires switched on the terminals of both! I'm beginning to think that whichever way I think I ought to hook up wires, I should do the exact opposite.

    Kindest regards,

I guess with the way your luck is going, I wouldn't ever disconnect the battery cables.....

You know when I was wiring my car I had to keep tell myself the way I am looking at the wiring schematic everything is reversed. I had to go back and look at the pictures that I had taken and they told me how it was originally.[]I don't think I am dislexic however I found myself doing that over and over I could have just been tired[^]

You are now in the True Club of Rewireing and Reversing. If you haven't done it once you haven't tried. Good luck.
