  • Stude and boat...spotted in Morro Bay

    I saw this rig yesterday...

Nice C-dan...as nice as that yellow one in Omaha a couple of years ago PLUS a period correct runabout.

He wanted $14k for it. If interested contact Bob Parks 805.772.0152

That President "W" Body 4 Dr. Sedan with 289, should pull that little lightweight boat like it was not even there!

Very nice looking car, and lighter than a long wheelbase President Classic!

Only in CA would you run in to something like that sitting on the street.[8D] Very nice.

I thought the same, but since I had no intention of buying either, I didn't ask. I didn't go over the car with a fine toothed comb, but what I saw was VERY nice (exterior and interior). I didn't look under the hood or in the trunk or underneath. Note the correct for YOM black on yellow California plates.

Yeah - if it's that nice, maybe $14K isn't out of line. EITHER WAY... amazing to see something of THAT caliber sitting curbside someplace other than a car show![:0] Really cool!

It is now in the background on an eBay listing.

Leonard: "your" ebay photo has it in the same location as when Dick spotted it. Note the building--just different view. However yesterday I spotted it a ways down the road[8D]

                        For sale in Arroyo Grande:

                        The price:

Giving it a quick once-over, I noticed this kink in the left rear quarter:

It has also had some poor body work done to the right rear door. And surface rust is appearing on most edges and corners of the sheetmetal. Yes, it probably has been in Coastal environs for awhile. But it looks like it was a nice original that was repainted a few years ago. The chrome and potmetal was not redone, but is in decent shape. The correct YOM license plate on the front is only for show. It has a current issue plate on the rear. The boat is a 1962 Glasstron(?) 40hp.

The guy that owns that shop had the Stude on consignment. He restores cars there. He showed me the Ford. Quite a sleeper. He had several others including a '62 Chev bubble top 409 and a cross ram Z28 Camaro.

Yes, I realized that it was the same building.

Nice parallel parking job. All joking aside that is a nice rig.
