Studebakers in Costa Rica

I have been to COsta Rica several times. The most recent was in early May (right after I took delivery of my Lark). I kept an eye out for Studes without seeing a single one.

Today, while surfing for wiring diagrams (I found one!) I spotted this web blog telling of a 60 Lark SW conversion that was shipped to Costa Rica and will be driven back this summer. What a surprise.

Usually I don't care for 4 wheel drive conversions, but this one is an exception. It appears to be about function with an eye toward form and looks nice. The fact that it is build to use and not just impress the people at the next show is a plus to me.

I like the story in the blog- why they chose the Lark wagon over other more common cars. It appears to be well thought out venture all the way.
