  • To all you toy collectors out there.

You may already know this, but there is a fellow in England selling what appears to models of early Dinky Toys which appear to be made from the original dies. The nice thing about them is you put them together which means you can paint them any way you want. The prices aren't bad either. Here's a Studebaker truck:

    That's pretty neat!

    As a side note...
In my Mobil gas card bill, there was the typical pile o'crap 'buy this' offer slips in with the bill. One was for 1/32 scale fire trucks. They had an American LaFrance, a Mack, a GMC, and a 1925 Studebaker fire truck. $24.05 IIRC...

            Hmmmmmmmm... a '49 thru '55 M-series. [8]

Aha! I see now... Made by DINKY from '49 thru '55.
            A 1955 rendition of a 1947 truck. got it!

            Miscreant adrift in
            the BerStuda Triangle!!

            1957 Transtar 1/2ton
            1960 Larkvertible V8
            1958 Provincial wagon
            1953 Commander coupe
No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

It's a real neat way to get into die cast collecting especially since you can personalize these models to your taste. The seller also sells decals if you are so inclined. He has a neat Ebay store with all kinds of extras- tires (sorry-"Tyres") etc.
                ...must...not....start....another....hobby.....[]
